Details
Helen Hugo Barrett joined the staff of the Diocese of Melanesia in 1946 and served in the Eastern District and at Lopi on Isabel Island as a nursing sister. For many years she was in charge of Tassi School and Matron of the Hospital of the Epiphany at Fauabu, on Malaita. She was awarded an M.B.E in 1970, a Queen's Silver Jubilee medal in 1977, and a Cross of the Solomons Islands in 2005. (NS 15 June 1970)
