Details

Fred Maedola, from Kwara'ae on Malaita, was a popular singer in the Solomon Islands in the 1960s and 1970s. He worked for the Honiara Town Council and in September 1970 married Blandena Saetelia. In 1977, he flew to Sydney at the invitation of a recording company to record twelve new songs in Solomon Islands Pijin. (NS 15 Sept. 1970; SND 25 Mar. 1977)
