Details

John Melanoli was born in 1926 on Santa Cruz. He was educated at Taroaniara Junior School (1940-1941), St. Mary's School at Maravovo (q.v.) on Guadalcanal (1942-1945) and All Hallows' School at Pawa (q.v.) on Ugi (1946-1949). He was elected President of the Santa Cruz Council (1972-1974), and in 1976 became member for Second Eastern Outer Islands in the Legislative Council (q.v.). (SND 9 July 1976)
